Trusted Wi-Fi
A configurable list of SSIDs on which Cofejn automatically enables keep-awake. Handy for hotspots where the laptop runs as a server, or at home when the computer should behave as always-on.
Real clamshell defeat (optional)
Optional install of PowerProtect — a sudoers fragment in
/etc/sudoers.d/ that allows exactly four pmset
commands without an admin password. Inspired by Amphetamine. With it, Cofejn
can suppress sleep even with the lid closed on battery.
A one-time admin password, transparent contents, validated via visudo.
Low Power Mode on lid close
When the laptop enters clamshell mode on a trusted Wi-Fi, Low Power Mode is automatically turned on to save energy. It reverts to the previous state once the lid is opened.
Thermal safeguard
When the system reports a critical temperature, Cofejn stops keep-awake — safety always over convention. Configurable.
What Cofejn does not do
No ads. No in-app purchases. No tracking or analytics. The app works fully locally. Settings and sessions are stored only on your Mac.
Updates
Cofejn updates itself via Sparkle 2 — signed with an EdDSA signature, verified by Apple notarization. Or choose “Check for Updates…” in the menu for a manual check.
